Johannes focus is mainly in a exclusive number of ensembles except his solo work. He is artistic leader in The Nordic Baroque Band witch he created with Monica Schmidt Anderssen in 2014. The Duo Eriksson/Jacobsson was created in 2011 with the violinist Jeanette Eriksson and focus on baroque music mixed with traditional Swedish music. Folk Unit is a newly formed group with the saxophone player Martin Norberg and works with putting a new dress on the traditional music. As a solo player Johannes loves to play the solo works by J.H.Roman and J.P. Westhoff and as a ensemble leader Johannes have been working as concertmaster with the vocal ensemble of Maria Magdalena church and it's director Mats Nilsson.
About me
Music has the power to transport us to another time and place. Johannes harnesses that power with music and melodies that appeal to audiences of music lovers and fellow professionals alike. Since a young age, Johannes have found great joy and satisfaction in making music and sharing it with his fans. Started as 4-year old with violin and ending his Master degree at Royal College of Music in Stockholm 2013. Hi is known for creating ensembles and finding rarely played music. Hi has also throughout all his life playing traditional music and specializes in the repertoar from the region of eastern Jämtland. With Jeanette Eriksson he is focusing in rarely played traditional music from Skåne.
